How does it work?
For each bather, a monitoring bracelet is pre-programmed with a personal alarm depth and alarm time – according to the user’s swimming ability. Programming is carried out using the PC program BlueFox Control. When the user enters the water the BlueFox ST1 monitoring bracelet automatically switches on.
The new BlueFox ST1 works in all waters such as lakes, beaches, streams, biotopes and ponds regardless of the condition of the water.
This electronic high-tech minicomputer gives an early alarm should somebody be in danger in the water and helps to prevent from drowning. BlueFox ST1 is not only meant for sportive people, but also for all kind of aging groups, starting from the toddler up to seniors. BlueFox ST1 monitors constantly the depth of the person in water.
The alarm criteria can be set according to the user’s swimming ability.
If this person remains too long under a defined depth, a balloon will release the alarm capsule from the monitoring bracelet and goes up to the water-surface. The gas used is neither flammable nor environmentally hazardous or dangerous in any kind. When an alarm ignition starts, the valve in the capsule will be opened and the previously liquid gas evaporates and fills up the balloon. The enlarging balloon presses the alarm capsule out of the bracelet holder and goes immediately up to the water surface, where the alarm siren in the balloon starts.
An acoustic siren in the balloon will make a approx. 100 decibel loud sound and will alert all people around. The alarm will sound for at least 3 minutes. Three seconds before the alarm ignition occurs, the white power LED will start flashing. This gives you the opportunity to move to a lower depth in order to prevent triggering an alarm. The bracelet holder remains on the wrist and an integrated power LED points to the drowned person, even in turbid water. Lifeguards, trainees, parents etc. close to the accident can now react immediately and start the rescue operation. The used capsule has to be replaced after an alarm and cannot be reused again. This can be done easily by slightly pressing a new capsule into the holder.

How to configure BlueFox ST1
BlueFox ST1 detects a possible drowning by measuring the depth and time; as soon as a certain time below a certain depth is exceeded, an alarm is triggered.
The depth and time can be set individually by the user according to swimming skill, this is done with the help of the corresponding software, which can be downloaded for free via the USB cable.
Example:
With a Blue Fox ST1 configured with alarm criteria:
50 Centimeters / 15 Seconds
- The swimmer dives into the water above 50 cm depth and then climbs up above this threshold within 12 seconds: NO ALARM.
- Then he swim in a depth between the surface and 50 cm for 24 seconds: NO ALARM.
- Finally he goes down below 50 cm without going up again, exceeding 15 seconds: ALARM.

Accessories for Blue Fox ST1
BRACELET SAFETY LOCK

Even more security!
In order to prevent children from taking the bracelet off by themselves, thus no longer being safe from possible drowning, we thought of a padlock that fits easily onto the upper strap.
Once mounted, simply put on the Blue Fox ST1 by running the lower strap through the buckle and padlock and then close it with the appropriate key.
BATTERY CHARGING RAIL

A sensational recharge!
Designed for those with special needs: with this uniquely designed aluminium charging bar, equipped with a powerful power supply, you can charge up to five Blue Fox ST1 at the same time.
Looking for a perfect pool protection?
Introducing the Pool Safety System
BlueFox will monitor your pool 24 hours a day.
The Pool Safety System (Private) is a system that can be installed in your pool to ensure the highest level of safety for you, your loved ones and your neighbours.
Double function:

ACTIVE PROTECTION
With the active protection the system monitors swimmers wearing the bracelet, which measures depth and swimming time. It detects a possible drowning when the swimmer stays underwater for too long and triggers the alarm.

PASSIVE PROTECTION
With passive protection, the system monitors the pool when not in use. The system measures the dynamic pressure of the water : if someone falls into the water, the system will immediately trigger the alarm.

ACTIVE PROTECTION
In this mode the system constantly monitors all swimmers wearing the WU2 bracelet.
The bracelet measures the depth and the swimming time, detecting if the person stays too long underwater: in this case it is clear that the swimmer is in difficulty and will emit an ultrasound signal that will be picked up by the sensors installed in the pool and trigger the alarm.
The alarm criteria can be set according to the user’s swimming ability.
With an amazing design and a weight of just 35 grams the WU2 fits from infants to the largest wrists for maximum safety in the water.
SWISS MADE

The WU2 switches on automatically as soon as you enter the water and constantly measures your swimming.
In the event of an imminent drowning, the WU2 Monitoring bracelet, thanks to the permanent monitoring of depth and time, recognizes that the swimmer is in danger and automatically triggers an alarm
In the event of an alarm, the WU2 Monitoring bracelet emits an ultrasonic signal which is received by the sensors installed in the pool wall and triggers an alarm. After the alarm has been triggered the WU2 Monitoring bracelet generates a strong white flashing light , so that the person can be located more quickly under water.
How to configure it
The WU2 recognizes a possible drowning by measuring depth and time, once a certain time is exceeded below a certain depth the alarm is triggered.
The depth and time can be set by the user by connecting the WU2 to the PC with the USB cable using the appropriate software.
Example:
With a WU2 configured with alarm criteria:
50 Centimeters / 15 Seconds
- The swimmer dives into the water above 50 cm depth and then climbs up above this threshold within 12 seconds: NO ALARM.
- Then he swim in a depth between the surface and 50 cm for 24 seconds: NO ALARM.
- Finally he goes down below 50 cm without going up again, exceeding 15 seconds: ALARM.

PASSIVE PROTECTION
In this mode, the pool is permanently monitored when it is not in use. If a person or an animal falls into the pool (even without wearing the Monitoring bracelet), the system measures the dynamic pressure and an alarm is triggered immediately.
Suitable for the protection of infants, children and other people when the pool is not in use and guarded.

Master Alarm Unit
The Master Alarm Unit is the heart of the monitoring system, it collects and processes the data received from the sensors and then sends the alarm signal in acoustic (+100 dB) and wireless form to the alarm amplifier (USB dongle) located, for example, in the house.
Using the keypad, you can manually or automatically switch between passive and active modes, perform functional tests, set a password to protect the system and set the sensitivity of the sensors for passive mode.
There are three different variants of private master alarm devices, which differ depending on the design and pool size.
STANDARD

- Master Alarm Unit made of high quality plastic with IP 65 watertight seal.
- Mounting with surface mount.
- Wireless transmission for alarm repeaters (USB Dongle)
- One sensor: for pools up to *50 m².
PRO

- Master Alarm Unit made of high quality plastic with IP 65 watertight seal.
- Mounting with surface mount.
- Wireless transmission for alarm repeaters (USB Dongle).
- Up to two sensors: for pools up to *100 m².
TOUCH

- Master Alarm Unit in high quality tempered glass with IP 65 watertight seal.
- Flush-mounting in masonry.
- Wireless transmission for alarm repeaters (USB Dongle).
- Touch controls.
- Up to four sensors: for pools up to *200 m².
*The maximum size is indicative: capacity may vary depending on the shape of the pool.
Alarm Repeater (USB Dongle)
The supplementary alarm unit (USB dongle) is used to forward the alarm of the master alarm unit (repeater).
This way you will always hear the alarm: even if you are not at the pool but inside the house.
However, it is recommended to keep an eye on infants and children, and thus also not to violate the duty of supervision.

Sensors
As explained in the previous figures, the pool safety system requires one or more sensors to be installed in the pool.
These are designed to be waterproof and consist of a combined sensor unit: an ultrasonic sensor for active mode and a pressure sensor for passive mode.
This combined sensor is installed in the pool using specially designed brackets that vary depending on the type of pool.
